Seven Polaris students recently competed at the SkillsUSA National Competition in Louisville, Ky. SkillsUSA events give students the opportunity to showcase their skills in specific career-technical training areas. This year, thousands of students from around the United States competed in over 90 different skills challenges.
The Greater Cleveland Food Bank Mobile Food Pantry offers participants a choice of food, usually including fresh produce. Participants are encouraged to choose a three day supply of nutritious food for each member of their household.
The Brook Park Beautification & Pride Committee is a program designed to recognize home owners and businesses that put in the effort to maintain and improve their properties.

Mayor Tom Coyne announced the official kickoff of Brook Park’s Annual Home Days Festival to be held in the parking lot of Brook Park Recreation Center on Friday July 8, Saturday July 9, and Sunday July 10th. The entire weekend is packed with great music, tasty food, carnival rides, The Brook Park Boosters Beer Garden, a festive parade, scintillating fireworks, and much, much more!

Please drop off your unused prescriptions in the lobby of the Brook Park Police Station. Prescription opiates are often the gateway to heroin addiction. Prescription opiates are commonly found in many medicine cabinets. It is vital that old prescriptions be properly disposed to keep our family’s safe. Pills left unattended in a bathroom or medicine cabinet can be easily taken and misused.

Brook Park residents and guests have come to expect a high level of service from the city and our Service Department. Our Service Department staff frequently exceeds expectations for productivity, promptness, courtesy and dedication to their job.
The Monarch Butterfly is the most familiar butterfly in North America. With their easily recognizable black, orange, and white wings they are quite hard to miss. There are many plants and flowers that will attract the Monarch and other butterflies but one plant that is a necessity for the Monarch is the Milkweed. While the Milkweed may attract Monarch Butterflies, it is a dangerous plant to have around our pets, our children, and even adults.
Scores of fans flocked to the grounds just outside the I-X Center on June 20 to greet the Cleveland Cavaliers as they exited the plane, fresh from the franchise's first NBA Championship victory in its 45-year history, which marks Cleveland's first major sports team championship since the 1964 Browns.
